One of the most significant steps that Colombian coffee has achieved is having complied with all the controls and evaluations associated with the European standards for geographical indications. In October 2007, after more than two years of evaluation of the files by the European Commission in Brussels, Caf\u00e9 de Colombia became the first agri-food product from a country other than those that make up the European Union , to receive such recognition. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The PGI seal is a identification mark of the European Union (EU) <\/strong>, created in 1992. This mark is a guarantee of origin for the producers and in this case the distributors of Colombian Coffee, allowing guarantee the authenticity of its product and compliance with the quality standards of Caf\u00e9 de Colombia.<\/p>\n
